GIACONDA ESTATE VINEYARD CHARDONNAY: A NEW JEAN-PIERRE MOUEIX EXCLUSIVITY

Since October 2023, Jean-Pierre Moueix has been the exclusive international distribution partner for Giaconda's Chardonnay and has introduced the exceptional 2021 vintage, which received six 100-point ratings from the specialized press.

Founded in 1982 by Rick Kinzbrunner in the Beechworth wine region, Giaconda Estate is renowned for its outstanding Chardonnay, crafted from its own vineyard. Situated at 400 meters altitude in the foothills of the Victorian Alps, the estate spans 2.8 hectares and benefits from cool nights, warm days, and granitic loam soils over clay. These ideal conditions promote slow ripening, low yields, and a unique mineral expression.

Rick’s minimalist winemaking approach - indigenous yeasts, barrel fermentation, gravity-flow processes, and no filtration - results in wines of remarkable purity, finesse, and complexity, comparable to the finest Burgundies.

Internationally recognized, Rick was named one of the world’s top 10 white winemakers by Decanter. His son, Nathan, who joined him in 2007, continues to refine and elevate this legacy with even greater precision and excellence.
